Dental Restoration

thrilled at the dentist Did you know that the strongest substance in your body is tooth enamel, surpassing even bone in hardness? Despite this, tooth enamel isn’t invincible; if it were, we wouldn’t need dentists.

Diligent brushing, flossing, and regular visits for professional cleaning and checkups are all essential for maintaining a healthy smile. However, even with the best dental care, you might still encounter issues like tooth decay, chipped or cracked teeth, or even tooth loss, which can impact your appearance and self-esteem. This is where restorative dentistry comes in.

Offering an Array of Solutions

At MySolutions Dental Clinic, we offer many restorative dentistry solutions for damaged, decayed, or missing teeth while also preventing adjacent teeth from being affected. Here are some common restorative treatments:

Veneers: These are ultra-thin covers placed on the front side of teeth to conceal and address gaps, stains, or chips.

Dental Implants: These replace missing teeth using a titanium screw that affixes to the jawbone and a crown secured to the implant’s post.

Inlays and Onlays: These are used for teeth that are too damaged for a filling but not enough to necessitate a crown. An inlay is positioned between the top points (cusps) of a tooth, whereas an onlay covers one or more cusps.

Crowns: Also called “caps,” these fit over existing teeth to substitute missing or damaged tooth structures. They’re often used post root canal therapy to fortify a tooth or with an implant to replace a lost tooth.

Dental Bridges: These consist of two crowns on either side of the missing tooth connected to an artificial tooth, known as a pontic.

Partial and Full Dentures: These replace multiple or all missing teeth, offering removable substitutes that mimic the look and feel of natural teeth.

Root Canal Therapy: This procedure eliminates infected tissue from tooth roots beneath the gum line. Modern techniques have significantly reduced the associated discomfort.
